The Digital Platform allows you to experience the Competition online

8 August 2015

Making it possible for Internet users to access the same information as visitors at Anhembi Park, during WorldSkills São Paulo 2015 is the main purpose of the digital platform, created especially for the Competition. The WorldSkills Experience platform (www.worldskills-experience.com) includes four important pillars: virtual tour, real-time coverage, content for social media, and a mobile app.

Through the WorldSkills Experience, users will go on a "Virtual tour" taking advantage of a 3D map of the entire Competition environment. By accessing the tour, users will also find information about the Competition, such as the test projects, professional opportunities in various Brazilian market segments related to the skill,, the relevant SENAI/Senac courses, and the average salary in Brazil for related careers in that field.

In the same digital environment, users that click "Flashnews" will have access to live coverage of the Competition with news, interviews, and videos generated during the Competition days. And to make the experience even more real, we will have the "Realtime" resource which will make users feel like they are literally at Anhembi Park, as there will be people walking around the venue with GoPro type video cameras on their bodies, following routes determined through polls that record user demand for coverage.

The WorldSkills Experience Mobile App, available for Android and iOS, improves visitor experience at the Competition venue even more. Through iBeacon technology – small transmitters used to identify and determine where smartphones (and compatible devices) are positioned - the entire Competition area was mapped out, making it possible for users to define itineraries according to the areas that are most important to them. The app can both identify where the user is located and then help identify the path to where they want to go. All of the Digital Platform content will be used for the Mobile App, and users will also receive “push notifications” highlighting the main attractions going on during their visit to the event.

There will also be coverage of the Competition on official social media channels listed below:
