Carson is from Lloyminster, Saskatchewan. “I discovered in junior high that I loved drafting and design,” says Gustafson. So, he enrolled at Saskatchewan Polytechnic to pursue studies in Mechanical Engineering Design. “It gave a sense of accomplishment and felt like the most practical application of my talents,” he says. Gustafson has been participating in Skills Canada competitions since grade 11, earning three provincial gold medals and three national gold medals. When he is not drafting, Gustafson is jamming. He is an avid musician.
