On 15 April 2015, a contract formalizing Samsung´s participation as the official Overall Event Presenter at WorldSkills São Paulo 2015 was signed. The Executive Vice President of Samsung, Dr Ji Oh Song, Simon Bartley, President of WorldSkills, and Rafael Lucchesi, General Director of SENAI, were present.

Dr Ji Oh Song believes this partnership contributes greatly to the company: "We don´t only manufacture quality products, but also want to be a respected company that helps the global society. In order to achieve this goal, supporting professional education is very important, because we can make our global youth feel happy about planning their future. We want to promote hope and make them dream about the future, supporting the professional education system.”

Rafael Lucchesi, General Director of SENAI, highlighted this partnership as an important example, as more and more companies are involved in social responsibility efforts. "Samsung transmits their belief in the future and in work, and WorldSkills is probably the best expression of all of that. The company provides an example for professional skills education, a topic with increasing importance, focused on the future of youth in developed and emerging countries, as well as decisive for public policies geared towards sustainable development," says L .

Simon Bartley, President of WorldSkills, was also present at this important moment. "Samsung is one of our Global Partners for the Competition, and probably the most recognized by people around the world, not only in the industry and market, but also by the general public. We believe that it is very important for WorldSkills to be associated with such brands. We are very happy with this sponsorship. It´s very good for all of us."

Samsung has been a WorldSkills Global Partner since 2007, and their participation in the 43rd WorldSkills Competition includes several specific actions on-site as well as external communication opportunities. At the Anhembi Park, the company will have an exclusive stand with an approximate 500m2 area, special participation in the Opening and Closing Ceremonies, as well as other benefits.

Siemens

Another important partnership confirmation occurred on 15 April 2015. The German multinational company, Siemens, is now part of the list of official sponsors for WorldSkills São Paulo 2015, contributing with the following skills: Industrial Control, Polymechanics and Automation, Manufacturing Team Challenge, Electrical Installations, and Refrigeration and Air Conditioning.

“Both of the partnership confirmations are the results of long term work and involvement from the entire team. A joint effort between the companies, WorldSkills International and especially WorldSkills São Paulo. We are very proud to receive Samsung and Siemens as great partners for the event," said Carine Barreto, the Sponsorship and Partnership Coordinator.
