How did you get interested in your skill?
In 7th grade technology class I was obsessed with the wood working side of class. I built projects with my grandfather and quickly grew my skill in cabinet making.

Where did you do your training for your skill?
Marc Adams School of Fine Woodworking and my own workshop.


How did you first find out about your Member organization and its programs?
My CTE Teacher Terry Fuller.

Who influenced you to pursue your skill as a career?
My parents and grandfather.

What is your experience in participating with your Member organization?
Competed at the state and national levels.

Describe your most memorable moment so far with WorldSkills?
Revisiting the national conference and meeting all the other competitors that will be going to Sao Paulo.

Describe what your experience has been since your involvement with WorldSkills.
It has been a lot of hard work getting prepared to compete. It is all well worth the hard work knowing what can result in being part of WorldSkills.


Did participating in the skills competitions and training for WorldSkills help you progress in your skill? Please describe.
The competitors and training taught me time management skills. It also taught me traditional joinery woodworking skills that only a certain percent of people know how to do.

What do you currently do? Where do you work?
I own/operate my own cabinetmaking business. I work part time at cabinet shop as well.

What are your future career aspirations?
Grow my business.
