How did you get interested in your skill?
I trained at North West Regional College and my tutor encouraged me to enter the WorldSkills UK Skills Competition in Wall and Floor Tiling.

I trained at North West Regional College.

How did you first find out about your Member organization and its programs?
I trained at North West Regional College and my tutor encouraged me to enter the WorldSkills UK Skills Competition in Wall and Floor Tiling. I won Gold in the finals which are held at The Skills Show, the UK’s largest skills and careers event. Following this I was asked to compete for a place in Squad and Team UK for WorldSkills São Paulo 2015.

Who influenced you to pursue your skill as a career?
My family and my Training Manager David McCay, a lecturer at North West Regional College.

What is your experience in participating with your Member organization?
As part of Squad and Team UK, I have worked with my Training Manager David McCay to complete an intensive training programme.

Describe your most memorable moment so far with WorldSkills?
Getting into Team UK.

Describe what your experience has been since your involvement with WorldSkills
I trained at North West Regional College and my tutor encouraged me to enter the WorldSkills UK Skills Competition in Wall and Floor Tiling. Yes, the training that I received for WorldSkills directly relates to the work that I do and I hope it will help me progress in my career.

What do you currently do? Where do you work?
I am completing my apprenticeship with Limavady Borough Council

What are your future career aspirations?
I would like to be a successful in my career.
