Khalifa AlMheiri

How did you get interested in your skill?
I was interested in all things computers and it just so happens there was a web design class in my school, so I took it and got interested from that point onwards.

Where did you do your training for your skill?
Mostly online, with my school teacher, and in Korea.

How did you first find out about your Member organization and its programs?
I was offered to join by my teacher, and then was taught the basic skills and then expanded from there.

Who influenced you to pursue your skill as a career?
The availability of the classes, honestly if there was anything else that was related to computers that wasn’t web design, I would’ve taken it.

What is your experience in participating with your Member organization?
Well, it was a very positive learning experience.

Describe your most memorable moment so far with WorldSkills?
I can’t say I’ve had a moment yet with WorldSkills, as I am yet to go there myself.

Describe what your experience has been since your involvement with WorldSkills
Well, it was a very positive learning experience.

Did participating in the skills competitions and training for WorldSkills help you progress in your skill? Please describe.
Yes, definitely, if it wasn’t for the WorldSkills competitions and training, the most I would be able to do is make a static form and a plain web page.

What do you currently do? Where do you work?
Currently I am a high school student at the Applied Technology High School in Ras Al Khaimah.

What are your future career aspirations?
To achieve a stable job in the tech industry, preferably a Computer Engineer or Software Engineer, it isn’t much to ask for, but that’s all I ask for.
