How did you get interested in your skill?
I have always been interested in mechanical things and aircraft maintenance is the highest level there is to work in.

Where did you do your training for your skill?
Royal New Zealand Air Force

How did you first find out about your Member

organization and its programs?
After the last international competition when a workmate came second.

Who influenced you to pursue your skill as a career?
My family, mainly my father and cousin.

What is your experience in participating with your Member organization?
Very positive. They are extremely supportive of the whole team.

Describe your most memorable moment so far with WorldSkills?
Competing at WorldSKills Oceania and winning.

Describe what your experience has been since your involvement with WorldSkills.
It has been very challenging, but also very rewarding to see the efforts of my hard work.

Did participating in the skills competitions and training for WorldSkills help you progress in your skill? Please describe.
Yes. It helped me gain a lot of self-confidence and respect from the people I work with.

Aircraft Technician, RNZAF Base Oaakea, 3 Squadron

What are your future career aspirations?
Continue with the RNZAF and complete civilian Aircraft Engineers Licence.
