How did you get interested in your skill?
I got interested in cooking when I was in high school with the help of my hospitality teacher Mrs. Chandra I did my first cooking competition and got a gold. From that day, I have done many more competition and I just love cooking.

Where did you do your training for your skill?
It started from my high school, Manurewa High School and then did my training at Manukau Institute of Technology.


How did you first find out about your Member organization and its programs?
I found out about WorldSkills through my lecturer at MIT.

Who influenced you to pursue your skill as a career?
My teachers and my family.

What is your experience in participating with your Member organization?
A very fun experience. I enjoy every moment because I am learning new things everyday.

Describe your most memorable moment so far with WorldSkills?
Winning a gold medal at WorldSkills Oceania.

Describe what your experience has been since your involvement with WorldSkills.
Less social life activities, playing/experimenting with different ingredients.

Did participating in the skills competitions and training for WorldSkills help you progress in your skill? Please describe.
Yes, I have gained a lot more knowledge regarding cooking.

What do you currently do? Where do you work?
I work at Urban Soul Cafe in Manukau. One of the Chef members.

What are your future career aspirations?
I am working for the new cafe bistro in Karaka as a head chef after Brazil.
