Introduction

Since 2014, NCJSC "Holding" Kasipkor "(hereinafter - Holding) organized a complex of measures on the procedure for joining the WorldSkills International Association and conducted meetings with the WorldSkills representatives. The result of this work was the decision to join WorldSkills association and our country had become the 70th member of WorldSkills on 10 June 2014.

17th July 2014 during the meeting with Deputy Prime Minister of the Republic of Kazakhstan Holding “Kasipkor” was determined to be the National operator of the project WorldSkills Kazakhstan.

Further, Holding organized a press conference about prospects and opportunities of the project WorldSkills Kazakhstan in August 2014 in Astana with the participation of the President of WorldSkills International Mr. Simon Bartley.

This 2015-year Holding “Kasipkor” organized regional championships in all regions and the national championship in Astana for the first time for seven competences: bricklaying, welding, hairdressing, cooking, and IT network system administration, turning, plaster and gypsum works. All championships were media covered and according to the national championship results, “Kasipkor” chose the national team for presenting Kazakhstan at the international championship WorldSkills in san-Paolo (Brazil) in august 2015.

Thus, this year Kazakhstan will be presented by seven competences in San-Paolo. Mainly national team consists of young students from Kazakhstan region, who take first time at such big competitions and need English language due to Kazakhstan students at colleges don’t study English for the high level results.
