How did you get interested in your skill?
From a young age I was exposed to the construction industry. From that I was lucky to see a variety of trades. The electrical side of things was always my personal favourite.

Where did you do your training for your skill?
I trained as an electrician in Dublin Institute of technology.


How did you first find out about your Member organization and its programs?
I found out about Ireland Skills thorugh a lecturer in Dublin Institute of Technology whilst training as an electrician.

Who influenced you to pursue your skill as a career?
My family and my school.

What is your experience in participating with your Member organization?
It is a very positive experience. As an organization, ireland skills provides a range of facilitries and support to help in this competition.

Describe your most memorable moment so far with WorldSkills?
My favourite moments so far are team meetings. As for the most memorable moment, it was meeting the team for the first time.

Describe what your experience has been since your involvement with WorldSkills.
At first, entering and competing in out national competition. this was followed by further selection by Ireland Skills. Since then I have been training for WorldSkills.


Did participating in the skills competitions and training for WorldSkills help you progress in your skill? Please describe.
yes it has. it provides the ideal opportunity for one to improve their skill to the best of their ability.

What do you currently do? Where do you work?
I currently study electrical engineering in D. IT. this is a continuation of training provided by ESB Ireland, with whom I was an apprentice Electrician.

What are your future career aspirations?
To finish out my degree in DIT and some day set up my own Control and Automation Business.
