How did you get interested in your skill?
I have always been interested in joining the F&B department, as I chose it for my internship as well. The restaurant service skill is very graceful and serving food has always made me happy.

Where did you do your training for your skill?
I trained for my skills at the Institute of Hotel Management- Aurangabad and at the Vivanta By Taj- Aurangabad.

How did you first find out about your Member organization and its programs?
The National Skills Development Corporation invited our college to participate in the skills of Patisserie, Cooking and Restaurant Service as we are an excellent hotel management and culinary college.

Who influenced you to pursue your skill as a career?
Mr. Gautam Sen, the Head of Department of F&B and Associate Professor, Mr. Rohneet Ahluwalia, Assistant Professor, helped me a lot to nurture my skills and push my limits.

What is your experience in participating with your Member organization?
National Skills Development Corporation organized the skills competition through several stages in many regions to shortlist competitors. All along the documentation which included the test project, competition rules, technical descriptions, etc., which helped us get clear indications of what was required of us as competitors. All along we felt that there was accuracy and transparency in the entire process, while supporting us.

Describe your most memorable moment so far with WorldSkills?
My most memorable moment till now has been when the top three for restaurant service skills were chosen and they were all from this same college, Institute of Hotel Management – Aurangabad.

Describe what your experience has been since your involvement with WorldSkills
It has been an incredible experience with the National Skills Development Corporation supporting the competitors throughout and helping them develop their skills further by coordinating with the hospitality academicians who provided great insights for the competitors.

Did participating in the skills competitions and training for WorldSkills help you progress in your skill? Please describe.
Participating in the WorldSkills Competition did help me improve my skill. I got more creative, kept a check on foot work and my posture and learned new things to keep improving myself upon with the help of National Skills Development Corporation and my college.

What do you currently do? Where do you work?
I am a Third Year Student in Institute of Hotel Management- Aurangabad.

What are your future career aspirations?
My career aspirations are to work very hard and reach the position of F&B Manager- Corporate Office.
