How did you get interested in your skill?
I got interested in my skill by taking part in a project group at my vocational school.
Where did you do your training for your skill?
I train for my skill at my education firm (Elster GmbH).
How did you first find out about your Member organization and its programs?
My first information about the member organization I got through participating in the
regional championships for mobile robotics at my vocational school. During the
competition I met Mr. Karras PhD (expert WorldSkills Germany), who explained a lot
about the organization WorldSkills and WorldSkills Germany.
Who influenced you to pursue your skill as a career?
Because of an internship and my uncle (electronics engineer for operations technology /
programmer) I started my career in this skill.
What is your experience in participating with your Member organization?
I made the experience that WorldSkills Germany is very well organized and does a lot to
ensure the success of its competitors.
Describe your most memorable moment so far with WorldSkills?
My most memorable moment so far with WorldSkills was winning the German
competition at Hannover (23. - 27.02.2015) and to qualify for the WorldSkills
competition at Brazil.
Describe what your experience has been since your involvement with WorldSkills
My experience since I involved with WorldSkills was gaining a lot of knowledge in the
areas of electronics, mechanics and programming.
What do you currently do? Where do you work?
My colleague (Nico Gattmann) and I are currently working intensively on the mechanics
and programming of the robot for the WorldSkills in Brazil.
What are your future career aspirations?
I'd like to take part in the WorldSkills to gain a lot of new experiences in the technical
areas and to meet new people. For the future I'd like to have a successful completion of my
apprenticeship at my company.
