How did you get interested in your skill?
Already in the 9th grade, I finished a 3-week internship at a local electrical company in
Hennigsdorf.
During the A-Level, I choose the advanced courses electrical engineering and mathematics.
After graduation I started my apprenticeship as an electronics technician for industrial engineering at Vattenfall in Berlin.

Where did you do your training for your skill?
I do my training in the education center of the company Vattenfall in Berl in.

How did you first find out about your Member organization and its programs?
My training supervisor at Vattenfall is also the Expert for Electrical Installations. One day he called me to tell me that I should participate at the Worldskills 2015. After that we met and he informed me over the competition and Worldskills.

Who influenced you to pursue your skill as a career?
Already in the 9th grade, I finished a 3-week internship at a local electrical company in Hennigsdorf. That internship influenced my future plan.


What is your experience in participating with your Member organization?
My experience with the Member organization is consistently positive. There are
cooperative, polite, purposeful and do their best to support the competitors.


Describe your most memorable moment so far with WorldSkills?
The most memorable moment for me was the preparation competition in the Netherlands.
This was my first international competition.

Describe what your experience has been since your involvement with WorldSkills
Since my involvement with WorldSkills I experienced a lot of new stuff like working with the bus system technology and other new things I never did before.


Did participating in the skills competitions and training for WorldSkills help you progress in your skill? Please describe.
Yes of course. Especially in the preparation competition I learned to keep calm in stressful
situations. In addition, each of the trainings improved my manual skills a lot.
I learned to handle different sorts of materials like metal and plastic pipes and know their
physical properties in order to achieve the best results after bending those .


What do you currently do? Where do you work?
I do my training in the education center of the company Vattenfall in Berlin.
That means I work in wooden cabins and do electrical installations, write contro l programs and also check them for functionality and safety.


What are your future career aspirations?
After successful completion of the apprenticeship, I will do a further education to become a master of electrical industry. After that I hope that I can be a training supervisor at my company. In addition, I would be very happy if I would be as pract iced that I could become an expert at the WorldSkills to lead other young people to success .
