How did you get interested in your skill?
It has always interested me. I find it fascinating and I think it’s the skill of future.

Where did you do your training for your skill?
I practice at school with my team mate Lauri. I practise also at home with mps-stations and tools borrowed from school.

How did you first find out about your Member organization and its programs?
Our teacher informed us about the national competitions, and while training for them I heard about the international competitions.

Who influenced you to pursue your skill as a career?
There was particularly not a single person who got me to this skill. I just have always been interested in technology.

What is your experience in participating with your Member organization?
I have participated in several competitions and I have learned plenty of things and skills and I enjoy competing.

Describe your most memorable moment so far with WorldSkills?
The moment when we got elected to be in the Finland’s team after a very tight trial competition.

Describe what your experience has been since your involvement with WorldSkills.
It’s been exciting to train for this big competition. It has given me more motivation to learn and practice.

Did participating in the skills competitions and training for WorldSkills help you progress in your skill? Please describe.
Very much. I have learned plenty of new things and tricks in my skill.

What do you currently do? Where do you work?
I study medicine in University of eastern Finland.

What are your future career aspirations?
My becoming profession might differ a bit from the skill, but I will always have room for mechatronics/technology.
