1.    How did you get interested in your skill?

I have a High School diploma from a school where there is a training agreement with SENA. There, I took a course on welding from 9th grade.

2.    Where did you do your training for your skill?

At the welding workshop at SENA in Manizales, Colombia.

 

3.    How did you first find out about your Member organization and its programs?

Throughout the school where I took my diploma.

4.    Who influenced you to pursue your skill as a career?

My technical instructor Hector Valencia

 

5.    What is your experience in participating with your Member organization?

Excellent, I thought it was something that would never happen in my life.

6.    Describe your most memorable moment so far with WorldSkills?

One of my most memorable moment was when I won the silver medal in WorldSkills Americas in Bogotá in 2014.

7.    Describe what your experience has been since your involvement with WorldSkills

It’s been very interesting since I have been able to know many people and places and especially to grow as a person and as a professional, to be knowledgeable.

8.    Did participating in the skills competitions and training for WorldSkills help you progress in your skill? Please describe.

Very much because this competition is very demanding and we have to improve every day to be the best. Thanks to this I have a very high level for my labour life.

9.    What do you currently do?  Where do you work?

I am only training myself for the competition at SENA.

 

10.  What are your future career aspirations?

I want to have a good job where I can provide it with all the knowledge and experience taken in WorldSkills. Also, to have my own company to be competent in the market.
