How did you get interested in your skill?
My father is an electrician, he taught me all kinds of electrical stuff since I was a kid.
Where did you do your training for your skill?
In my school, Yancheng Technicians College.
How did you first find out about your Member organization and its programs?
In my senior year, one of my coaches came to me and told me everything about Worldskills, I thought that maybe I can have a try.
Who influenced you to pursue your skill as a career?
My father, he is really good, I want to be like him.
What is your experience in participating with your Member organization?
It’s pretty fun. I am common boy from a small town, I thought it would be good enough for me to get a job as an electrician, but when I finally get the chance to take part in the competition, I feel it is amazing.
Describe your most memorable moment so far with WorldSkills?
It’s hard to say, I hope the most memorable moment will be the moment when I get to Sao Paulo.
Describe what your experience has been since your involvement with WorldSkills
I must say I’m very thankful. It is totally new for me, I have met so many people.
Did participating in the skills competitions and training for WorldSkills help you progress in your skill? Please describe.
Yes, of course. I have experts and coaches help me with my skill, they show me the possibility for me to be the best one in my country, maybe in the world.
What do you currently do? Where do you work?
I am still a student.
What are your future career aspirations?
I won’t be far away from my skill. I hope I can be a coach and pass on my knowledge to the next competitor.
